Open Cup Draw
Kentucky Youth Soccer is pleased to
announce a PUBLIC viewing of the 2008 Kentucky Youth Soccer
State Open Cup Draw. The event will be hosted on March 5 at
6:30pm at the following location: Kentucky Indoor &
Sports, 404 Sporting Court, Lexington, KY 40503.
Please note the event will be open to only ONE
representative per team. We would encourage any clubs with
multiple registered teams to limit the number of
representatives for the entire club. If you have any
questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the state office
at StateOffice@KYSoccer.net
Please check the links to the left to view the new updated
policies for the 2008 Open Cup. The new updated policies will be used to govern
these events effective immediately.
The biggest change for the State Open Cup is the policy regarding Performance
Bonds required of all teams that enter the event. The policy pertaining
to Performance Bonds of each team is as follows:
Performance Bonds
A. Each member association or club will be
responsible for submitting to the state office by May 1, a performance bond
check for each team in it's club that participates in State Open Cup.
Performance bond fee will be $500 per team.
B. This check will be returned to the club
following the completion of state cup competition provided there is no
misconduct by their teams or any persons associated with their team (parents,
coaches, players, admins) throughout the competition. If a team or teams forfeit
their performance bond Kentucky Youth Soccer will issue a refund check to the
club less the forfeited performance bonds no later than June 30.
C. The State Cup Committee will determine
misconduct by all teams and members associated with that team as well as the
forfeiture of all bonds.
D. Failure to submit the performance bond
check will result in disqualification of all teams from that member association
or club from the Kentucky State Open Cup.
In addition, Kentucky Youth Soccer is taking a more proactive
step concerning disciplinary action against players and coaches receiving red
cards at our State Run Events. |
