Information You Can Use to
Manage an Effective Youth Soccer
Organization |
Commonwealth Cup
Looking for a way to cap off your fall recreational
season? What better way than participating in
the Commonwealth Cup, Kentucky Youth Soccer's fall
recreational tournament. The 2008 Commonwealth Cup will
be hosted by the Madison United Soccer Association in
Richmond, KY. The 2nd weekend will only be used if
needed to complete an age group. These two fun-filled
weekends offer teams the opportunity to play against
some of the best recreational teams from all areas of
Kentucky. This tournament is open to any properly
registered and formed Kentucky Youth Soccer recreational
team, mixed or girls, aged U10-U16. The deadline for
entries for the Commonwealth Cup is October 3, 2008 at
5pm EDT.

September is Youth Soccer Month throughout the
United States, and with your continued support,
Youth Soccer Month is a great opportunity to increase
the awareness of our sport.

A great benefit to US Youth Soccer member
clubs is the free, club directory. Register your club in
the US Youth Soccer Club Directory and
help families looking for soccer in their area or
an area that they will be moving to, directly to your

member organizations provides access to your club web
site. Also, when you register your club you can select
to have key staff receive important information
from US Youth Soccer including coaching education,

Tryouts
Online registration is open for the 1992, 1993, and
1994 Olympic development Program Tryouts. Tryouts
will take place November 1 in Lexington and November 8
in Bowling Green.
It is the aim of Kentucky Youth Soccer Association
to help and offer the best opportunity for every youth
soccer player to move their soccer career and experience
on to the next level.

Airheads Scratch
Contest
As a part of the US Youth Soccer family, Airheads,
the official non-chocolate candy of US Youth Soccer, is
adding to the celebration of Youth Soccer Month with the
Airheads Out of Control Virtual Scratch
Off contest throughout the month of
September.
By logging on to YouthSoccerMonth.org Monday -
Friday, September 1 - September 26, and playing
Airheads Out of Control Virtual
Scratch Off, you could win daily prizes and a
chance at the grand prize ; a trip for four to
